Before 1973, women didn’t have the right to an abortion. In 1973, Sarah Waddington and John Tulle had a debate about abortion in the Supreme Court called “Roe v. Wade.” In this historic court decision, arguments for the legality of abortion were argued. As a result, women received the right to have an abortion within their first trimester. “Roe v. Wade” helped establish and define embryo stages and their legal protection which is still being debated today. |
